He paints a waterfall on his skin
Every time he picks up the needle
The moth becomes the butterfly
As his conniptions fade
The azure prison
As god laughs
The holy joke
Is lost on him
Caged in by four walls
The moth still sees the light
Recreating the itch he could never scratch
Painting waterfalls
Onto every wall
The Azure Prison becomes everything
At some false semblance of sheer impunity
The moth is trapped in a cage of addiction prevalent in
The houses of slit wrist city
Man made depression
The cages of society
Turned the moth into a butterfly
In the shadow of heaven
There are no acts of God
In the shadow of heaven, there are no acts of God
Went too far to find the gates were locked
You have cursed us all
I burned at your cross
You have cursed us all
Went too far to find the gates were locked
You have cursed us all
I burned at your cross
I burned at your cross, abandoned my cross
I burned at your cross, abandoned my cross
Went too far, the gates were locked, abandoned by god
In the shadow of heaven, there are no acts of God
There are no acts of God
Went too far to find the gates were locked, you have cursed us all
Went too far to find the gates were locked, you have cursed us all
I burned at your cross, you have cursed us all

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego

Not many bands can keep my attention pretty much solely using synths, but this entity that is Lamp of Murmuur can do anything and evoke a wonderful atmosphere and showcase their ability to blend melody with a wall of static noise Xra Diabolist
